Weekly Verse and Song for Tonight Weeks 9 - 16

Week 9:

Isaiah 58:10 (English Standard Version)

10 if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.

I think we all have been comforted through friends and each other. I just know that I Trust God, Trust Jesus and Trust in the Holy Spirit (The Comforter).  I am praying that our lights are shining in the darkness so that others who see us will know who we truly belong to as representatives of Jesus.

Today I am remembering a lot of what Mommy has done for us. Simple things such as buying us Hostess Pies, and thanking God for giving us a mom who though we had nothing made us feel like had everything.

Song: Jesus What a Friend for Sinners!
Week 10:

Jeremiah 29:11 English Standard Version (ESV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

We all have plans but Jesus knows the plans He has for us, the plans are good. Sometimes for me it's hard to fathom that Mommy is not here but the truth is, even though this seems bad Jesus knows the plans and as this verse says the plans are to give us a future and a hope. That future and hope is in Christ.

Week 11:

John 14:6-7

English Standard Version (ESV)

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also.[a] From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

Jesus is the way
to the  Father. It amazes me today because as I ponder this I realize Mommy see's Jesus today. The verse points to us as well if we know Christ we know the Father.

Light a candle or incense tonight if you are able.

Week 13

John 14:5-14English Standard Version (ESV)

5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

Praise God for
Mommy this week I've been thinking that Mommy is actually
seeing Jesus, the one who died on the cross so many years ago. Mommy knows the way and that's through Jesus. I pray we all stand righteous before Him someday as Mommy  is doing!

O, For a Thousand Tongues to Sing:
Week 14

Isaiah 53:1-6
(NIV)

1 Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He was punished for our sins, one day we will see Christ and as a result we will see Mommy again, rest assured!

Song: Revelation Song
Week  15

Psalm 18:30  (ESV)
This God—his way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

We can trust in Christ, for His promises are true. Mommy is with Him and protected!

Light a candle or incense tonight if you are able.

Song:  Kristian Stanfill - The Lord Our God

Week 16

Luke 6:45 (English Standard Version)

45 The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

It's good to know that Mommy always tried to teach us to talk nice to people. Mommy always wanted to help people. Tonight I remember when Mommy when to the next door neighbors and gave them cloths when their daughter was born. Also when the dog Magnum passed away Mommy went to knock on the neighbors door and gave her a hug. Because Jesus lived in Mommy, Mommy produced good things. Praise God, I hope we all do the same.

Light a candle or incense tonight if you are able.
