Numbers 6:24-26
English Standard Version (ESV)
24 The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
The Most amazing thing we see in Christ for me is His grace. The Lord is so gracious to us in areas we don't even know. In our lives constantly being there for us. The Lord dying on the cross for our sins is Christ extending His grace to us. The official meaning of Grace is: unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification
But there is an acronym that many people like to use:
G od's
R edemption
A t
C hrist's
E xpense
What an amazing thought! Today we receive grace that is provided to us by the sacrificial suffering of Christ. The Lord's face shines on us at Christ's expense.
Today my mom is in Heaven with Christ. The ulimtate destiny of every person on this Earth. However you define or remember grace the big to remember is that God provided it for us through Christ and accepting Him as our Lord and Savior is what matters in life.
Mom I miss you but the truth is you are right where you are with Christ because of His grace. I will see you soon.
I love you mom and I especially love you Lord.

Psalm 121:7-8
English Standard Version (ESV)
7 The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
8 The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
This verse comes from my brother this week. We send out weekly reminders on Wednesday to light a candle for our mom in Heaven. It serves a few purposes it reminds us of our mom, not that we need one, but it serves also as a way to remind us that life is short, and another thing the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Contrary to what some may think the Lord's hand is not short in any part of life. Though struggles come and they will for everyone of us faith in Christ knowing that once we accept Him as our Lord and Savior He alone will protect us from that time on and forever He is our God, He is our Savior, and the true and only Champion of the world.
Our God is greater....
Mom I love you and miss you, it's hard to realize you aren't here but in life I know that you are with Christ and you are more blessed than any of us. I love you Lord as you always have from before my mom was ever born protected my mom and today you protect my mom and my mom is happy with you.
I'll be home soon. :)

Psalm 27:14
English Standard Version (ESV)
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!
This verse comes from my sister this week. It is very timely. Life always seems so up and down. I always remember how my mom took care of us with nothing. I recently had some work issues and was without a paycheck (it could happen again). During this time I can reflect on my mom and how my mom took care of us with all mom could. It seems like an instinct for my mom and most moms. It's a blessing to know this.
As life continues and all more and more and as I mature my hope is not that I mature as a person but mature as a Christian, waiting on the Lord and trusting in Him for my very breath. Just as my mom took care of us with nothing but the truth is my mom has Christ which in not only something but everything. He definitely is Strong Enough To Save.
I'll be home soon. :)

3 John 1:1-15English Standard Version (ESV)
Greeting
1 The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth.
2 Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. 3 For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers"came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
This verse comes from my brother Leo this week. It is interesting though this third letter of John was written to Gaius whom John loved because of truths, it seems that it can be taken and applied to our own situations. As children we often think of pleasing the people we love, our parents, a friend, a loved one. This letter calls out the ones that John is referencing to as children and how joyful he seems that they are walking in the truth.
The same could be thought of with my mom. We don't know everything that happens in the spiritual world, neither are we sure that those in Heaven can see what's happening here on Earth. But it's good to see my own siblings are trying to follow God, by ministering to others, by going to Bible study and by reading scriptures to name a few.
My mom would be happy to know mom's children are walking in truth.
MORE importantly however, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is happy to know ALL His children are walking in truth.
Mom, not a single day goes by that I don't think of you. It's daily, as I wonder and ponder how you are seeing Jesus right now. What an amazing thought!
I love you mom and Lord I especially love you. See you soon. :)

1 John 1:9 5English Standard Version (ESV)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness
I made a change to the verse this week it seems that I have been reading a lot about forgiveness this week.
We see time and time and again how the Israelites from Exodus to Leviticus, to Numbers to Deuteronomy, how many times the Lord provided provisions for His people. We also see how at the same time the Lord punished and forgave them, for their sins because the prayers of Moses who acted as an intercessor for them. I think today I am reflecting on myself, and how much I loved my mom. However the truth is even with that how many times I took my mom for granted and forgot about what my mom did for me by God's provision and grace. Even so I acted like the Israelites for somethings I couldn't do blaming this coming from mom instead of seeing what the LORD was doing in that situation.
As I type here I realize all things come and are allowed by God. He is the one who is just and will forgive me from my unrighteousness. As there are times in the past, now, and in the future that I will revert back like the Israelites, though I do strive not too. One of the greatest things to know is the LORD is faithful and just and will forgive my sins and all of our sins if we confess them to Him. This comes with spiritual maturity.
Lord I ask you for forgiveness from my transgressions. I pray that you will be continued revealed in my life in a greater way as life continues.
Mom I look forward to seeing you soon, I wonder what you are doing right now.
Thank you LORD for the things that you allow in my life to ultimately bring me closer to you.
Love you mom, LOVE you LORD.
See you soon. :)

Psalm 130:5
"I wait for The LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I hope;"
This weeks verse comes from my sister Amy.
It is one of the hardest things for me, to wait. Recently I made a decision and after I made it I saw a picture from Dr. Charles Stanley that read:
"Either you wait on God or you wish you had"
The LORD's word provides us with many stories where people for example the Israelites as they grumbled and were punished and as they grumbled and were punished again and again. Waiting is not a matter of sitting idle but working towards something but in that sense as you work trusting God. It's one of the biggest challenges I face. In God's word we have the examples as I mentioned but also the promise from God that "waiting" on Him is the ultimate act of trusting.
My mom lived on this Earth for 65 years leaving India and coming here and after sometime having to raise a family on mom's own, never again did my mom ever see my mom's dad again. When my mom found out that mom's dad had passed, mom was said but at the same time I believe my mom knew mom would be reunited again. Today I know mom is with Christ enjoying His blessing. But my mom had to first put mom's hope in Christ, knowing this life wasn't it. My mom trusted in Jesus Christ for everything.
Mom never a day goes by that I don't miss you. I know like you I must put my trust in Christ knowing I will see you again and knowing MOST important that I will be in His presence as you are now.
LORD with all the things of life I want to continue to trust which means to "wait" on you and to know my hope is only in you.

Numbers 27:15-17
15 Moses said to the Lord, 16 “May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community 17 to go out and come in before them, one who will lead them out and bring them in, so the Lord’s people will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”
The story in this week's verse is that God told Moses to up to a mountain in the Abarim Range and see the land that was promised to him. Essentially God told Moses this because he would see the land that was promised to him but is now denied to him because of his disobedience of striking the rock and taking the glory of the water coming out of it for himself instead of giving the glory to God. Next Moses would die.
In the above passage we see Moses' reaction, he did not plea but asked that the people be taken care of with another leader, and that leader would be Joshua appointed by God because in him is the Spirit.
It seems the case with my mom. My mom and also most other Godly moms and parents always want the best for their kids. I know my mom did. There would be various times where my mom would be at Church and the Pastor would ask are there any prayer requests, my mom would stand up and ask to "pray for my children". At the dining table I would see my mom many times before mom would drink mom's coffee and eat mom's bread my mom would be in praying fashion, hands placed together, eyes closed and head bowed praying, and no doubt included in mom's prayers were mom's kids.
My mom I believe knew time was drawing near and like Moses, mom was concerned about us and knew God would take care of them and He himself would lead them just as He always has.
Mom this week I've thought about you and how you cared for your kids. Lord you are my Rock and my foundation.
Thank you Jesus. Home is where Christ is.
Praise God.

Psalm 84:10
For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
This week's verse comes from my sister Amy, it is a great reality, to that no matter what life brings and where we can go that nothing compares to be in God's presence. The Psalmist writes just a day, a day in your courts a day in God's presence is better than a 1,000 any other place.
As I read and ponder this verse I see the Lord's blessing in this life, but just the greater blessing is being in His presence as today my mom is. I so miss my mom but the joy and peace my mom is experiencing today is far greater than what this world offers.
With that said I can rejoice where my mom is today!
Thank you Jesus for my mom and especially Lord thank you that I have the hope to look forward to being in your presence.
Thank you Jesus. Home is where Christ is.

Isaiah 25:8 (ESV)
8 He will swallow up death forever;
and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces,
and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth,
for the Lord has spoken.
This week's verse comes from my sister Amy. Its a great reminder that we live in a world that is "good" we may enjoy the things here but we know that one day the very thing called death that all of us will reach will be done, it will be the death of death and we will be ushered into the BETTER.
I started a new job last week and tonight as I was driving back I noticed the weather was really "good". What I mean by "good" in Chicago is you can smell the warm air and feel it after experiencing a cold winter. There is a reason I write smell. I remember as a kid my brother and I would ride our bikes on Summer afternoons, it was always nice to do this with him and I remember my mom never wanted us to go out in the morning but only the afternoon because my mom didn't want us out in the sun. I remember through out the 3 hour time outside usually from 5pm to 8pm I remember coming home at times to drink water or something and I would smell my mom cooking chicken curry, which today is my favorite. I remember getting hunger and recalling how good it was going to taste, and all and as I rode back home I could smell the curry. It was great and I remember eating the cut up thigh meat -as my sister called affectionately "the good meat"
Well today as an adult (some may question that :) ) I remember something of those good times, but I remember that we live in a world that is "good" but there is a better place for all of us who follow Christ. Today my mom is in that better place with Jesus Christ.
With that said I can rejoice where my mom is today!
Thank you mom for all you have done. LORD I know my mom is happy and is with you the better place.
I love you mom and I love you Jesus.
Praise God!
