Weekly Verse and Song for Tonight Weeks 76-84
Week 76 June 10, 2015
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
This week's comes from my brother Leo. I think it was a good verse for the way I feel. This week I've been thinking more and more of my mom and whether my mom was ready to leave this life. There was times I remember where my mom would sit home on a Saturday night on the couch on the end. Mom would be watching Billy Graham Crusade and when the end song would play "Come as you are, O Lamb of God" my mom told me it was like Heaven coming down.
As I think back this week and reflect on the verse, I believe my mom was confirming mom was ready to go Home to Heaven to be with Jesus. Mom raised us kids and saw us grow up. My Mom did the job the Lord called my mom to do, now we carry forward, in Jesus name.
We may think we know our plans but as the verse above states The Lord knows the plans, the hope and future that He has for us awaits. Although this verse applies to the those take into exile by King Nebuchadnezzar and were the words by the Prophet Jeremiah to them, I believe it translates to us to today.
Love you mom love you Lord.
I'll be home soon. :)
Praise Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-29
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
This week's comes from my brother Leo. This week started for me on Saturday after a grueling workout (legs), I started thinking of mom and something from the movie Rocky came to me where in Rocky 5 Mickey, who is Rocky's trainer told Rocky something he said:
"Cause when I leave you, you'll not only know how to fight, you'll be able to take care of yourself outside the ring too."
I felt this represented my mom and was a quote that can be used for mom. Mom took care of us and today I know that I wouldn't be where I am if it were not for Jesus carrying mom through every struggle in life, allowing my mom to be the instrument to carry out God's plan in my life and my siblings lives as well, to bring us where we are today. Now we know how to "fight" and also to "take care of ourselves". But that is not to ever say we do it, we know how to fight on our knees trusting and calling out to God in every situation trusting alone in Him to take care of us. See mom gave us the best gift any parent can give a child and that is leading us to Jesus Christ.
So today when I am under the weather, or job less or struggling it is Jesus that my mom led us to that allows us to know that I must go to.
As Christ said "Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest...."
Mom was a single mom of 5 and struggled but by God's grace lead us EXACTLY to what we needed, the trust that we need in Jesus.
I Love you mom, thank you Jesus for my mom and thank you MOST importantly for you Lord.
I LOVE you Jesus.
Praise God.
See you soon.

Proverbs 22:4
"The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life"
This week's comes from my sister Amy . Just impossible are the words that come to me this week. It seems just impossible that my mom the one who took care of me since I was a kid, who took me to my first day of Kindergarten -<whisper>and I cried- who made sure that even though we didn't have much always had dinner on the table, who cared for me even in my adult years and always prayed for me, but not only me, but my brothers and sisters, is not present on this Earth any more.
Then my thoughts go back and God reminds me that we all are on this planet for a short period of time, we do our work and leave. My mom did just that mom took care of us and had a mission of raising 5 kids. Mom accomplished this and then went home to be with the Lord.
You see my mom had humility and fear of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Mom out of love for her kids, and love for Jesus took care of mom's kids and now my mom is receiving riches, honor and life.
See mom is not "gone" mom went to receive the rewards God has for my mom.
Matthew 25:23
"His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ "
I love you and miss you mom, I love you Jesus.
See you soon.

2 Peter 1:4 4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
Tonight's verse comes from my brother. I think it's an appropriate verse for tonight as it seems that when we go about life on this Earth, us Christians try to follow Christ. Then there are times when we view the world and may get sucked into other things that others may partake in that may not be of divine . It's important to know that though we are living in this world we must understand that we are to hold onto the promises of God and as the verse says "become partakers of the divine nature..."
That divine nature is of God.
My mom though lived and learned a lot from the world my mom's desire was to escape the corruption of this world.
As I mentioned in a few different articles my mom almost found great solace in Jesus Christ. Feeling that Heaven would be coming down as the Billy Graham Crusade special would come to an end every week.
Mom you lead by example by God's grace, and because of this knowing that though you are not here, I can keep my desire on Jesus not on this world,
I love you mom and I love you Lord
See you soon.

1 John 4:10 English Standard Version (ESV) 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Tonight's verse comes from my sister Amy. I think it's an interesting and very appropriate thought for tonight. God first loved us, and He sent His son to die for us. It was out of that love that God Himself chose to give His life up for His people.
It's this that allows us to be:
1. Forgiven for our Sins
2. Have Eternal life
My mom's dad passed away many years. I recall my mom talking about mom's dad, and my mom always wondering what happened. My mom didn't see mom's dad since mom left India 33 years ago or so. I could tell the love my mom had for mom's dad. In the end I believe my mom knew mom would see mom's dad again. As I know as well that this isn't it this is not the final, it may be final on this Earth but not for Eternity.
That's the love God shows us, that though we are sinners, and while we were sinners -as the Bible states- Christ died for us. In this we can rejoice that we are forgiven of our sins, which is our disobedience to God, and that we have eternal life, once we put our faith in Christ. So because of God's love we will see our loves ones again and will see Jesus Christ the author of our faith, our Lord and Savior.
I love you mom and I love you Jesus.

Jeremiah 29:11 English Standard Version (ESV) 11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare"and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
This week brother sent the verse above. This week I spent sometime just wondering, just wondering. It's been hard at night for some reason as I wonder "why mom?". I wondered why mom left, and had moments where I missed my mom a lot. Sometimes this week, I think where my mom is now, where my mom is doing.
The verse above the Lord had sent the Israelites into exile from Jerusalem, yet the Lord promised that He will come to them and rescue them , when they turn to Him, for they will find The Lord.
"12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart."
This was a verse written to the Israelites, not to us, but it can be used for us. So Christians can cling to this passage being engrafted into the Kingdom, by knowing that God made this promise to the Israelites, which are God's people but we today too are God's people, and we can hold onto the promise that it is the Lord who takes care and provides for us, but our part is to pray to the Lord to seek Him with all of our hearts.
In the times this week that has been hard I know turning to God and trusting in who He is, what He says, is the utmost importance.

Joshua 1:9 English Standard Version (ESV) 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
This week My sister sent the above verse. In the time after Moses had passed from this life, God appointed Joshua to lead the Israellites. There something so worth noting here and that is God is telling Joshua "Have I not commanded you?". This gives the impression that God had to repeat to Joshua to be strong and courageous because Joshua was not or was having doubts.
In our lives I think there are many times when we have decisions to make, choices to choose from and challenges that come our way. If we are reminded of what The Lord told Joshua in those days we can remind ourselves that God will be with us just as He was with Joshua.
With this in mind I am reminded of the challenges that come my way, the choices I face. Decision making for me isn't always easy and at times at making wise choices.
When I think of this verse I can relate to my mom. Mom was here on Earth raising 5 kids on welfare, and mom was doing the best mom could. I will mention that my mom wasn't perfect and had times where my mom was discouraged, but as the verse tells us the Lord goes with us. So much so I believe my mom believed this as well.
This life is never meant for us to walk or go through it a lone. It's God that goes with us.
So whatever :
1. Decisions you have to decide
2. Choices you have to choose
3. Challenges come your way
Remember the above verse:
Joshua 1:9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Thank you mom for listening to God raising us and being Strong and Courageous. Thank you Lord for your promises, though written to Joshua in this case, is also for us today.
See you soon :)

Romans 1:17 English Standard Version (ESV) 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
This week My sister sent the above verse. I think this has been a hard week for me and for my sister. However, for me the one thing that always suffers the most when going through a difficult time is my relationship with God. I realize that it's not because I do not trust in God or my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but it's that I feel undeserving and being an undeserving witness.
My sister seems very faithful and though things may seem tough my seems to still turn to scriptures, this is amazing, and honest.
Living by faith is not something that can come easy, it takes time. Just like any relationship, learning to trust Jesus in these circumstances that seem tough, knowing that Christ will pull you through in some way (maybe not your way) is very important in the Christians' walk. I think of times my mom raising 5 kids a lone going to the grocery store, and just being in unfamiliar territory is enough to make a person lose their cool. I am not saying my mom never did but to go through life and raising kids, alone is not an easy task. Mom put mom's faith in Christ knowing that one way or another mom would make it better, because the Glory will be for Jesus.
Mom you led by example and help mold me who I am today, by God's grace. Now I carry putting my faith in the one who knit me in my mother's womb.
LoVe you mom lOvE you Lord.
See you soon.

Daniel 12:2-3
2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above;"and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
This week my brother sent the above verse. The verse is a reminder that there will be a day, a time when all will rise, some will rise to live and some will rise to be eternally condemned. This will occur with the return of Christ. As the Universe we live in will be ushered out and the new Universe will be ushered in where there will be no more decay, no more death and no more tears (Revelation 21:1-4)
So this week as it is everyday of our lives is hope. We have hope in Jesus Christ. It's not the same as others, we are not hoping for the possibility, but we hope, in the expectation that Jesus is returning to set things right once and for all. On that day there will be Eden restored (Revelation 22).
Mom from giving birth, to pulling a shopping cart in the snow, to cooking for us, to being there to answer the phone when we called, from life to the passing to Heaven you did so much to bring us where we are today, by God's grace. I know this is not the end.
I Love you mom and I LOVE you Lord.
See you soon.
