Week 24
Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
This week I've been wondering a lot of why's and how could this be. My mom was just here. I think in the end the truth is reminding me that this is part of life. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, (Hebrews 9:27)
Through these days I know the long road of emotions are there. I trust in God's word and know that He will strengthen me. God can do this in many different ways. Even so I know I miss my mom. I met a kid and I was able to tell him things by God's grace about the loss of his Dad and it indirectly Strengthens me. Love you mom you are and will always be my best friend.

Week 25
Psalm 119:50 “My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.”
Weekly things seem to change. This week I seemed a bit better. I've been reminded a lot this week, how my mom who says "I do it" is still doing it. The AC needed a tune up and the Fridge needed some repair. My mom took out a policy to have these checked and were covered under this policy.
Mom's are truly different they worry, they carry, they give their lives for their kids. My mom certainly did this. My mom stayed in America instead of taking us kids back home to India, where we could have been raised but more as Indian than Americans. Mom sacrificed seeing my mom's dad, as mom never saw her dad ever again.
Today I know my mom is reunited with her dad. Mom enjoy it, I'll be home soon. And you DID IT for me and my 4 other Brothers and Sisters.
I love you mom.

Ephesians 3:14-21English Standard Version (ESV)
Prayer for Spiritual Strength
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every familya]">[a] in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen
This week the song below has been on my heart it reminds constantly that the Father's love is so deep for us that He would die on the cross for us in our place. I believe like Mr. T that one way God shows Himself in our lives is by sacrifice. Jesus said in John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.". Jesus did this, my mom in a smaller way laid down her life, giving the comforts and easiness of living in India but to be here all alone for me and my siblings. Jesus in a grand scale left His throne of Heaven.
Mom because of your sacrifice for us, I see a greater picture of the ultimate sacrifice that Christ made for us. Today is Sasee's birthday mom and
I'll look after your kids just like you do.
I love you mom. I will see you soon.

Week 27 July 9, 2014
Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
This week has been met with lots of unbelief. Not unbelief in Jesus, but more unbelief in knowing my mom isn't coming home. As a kid I lay my head down I am always reminded that my mom is here. I would many times lay my head however, and in an instant wake up because I've had a bad dream that my mom is gone. But during those times I knew my mom wasn't. Last night as I lay my head down I had the same instance however this time my mom was actually gone.
As I write these words I am reminded of something. That something I am reminded of is my Mom lived for Christ and as such my mom is not gone. My mom is Free.
Mom I know today that you are not gone though I cannot see you I know you live with Christ as you are in His presence. I'll be home soon Mom. I love you.

Week 28 July 16, 2014
Genesis 37:34-35 Then Jacob tore his garments and put sackcloth on his loins and mourned for his son many days. 35 All his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted and said, “No, I shall go down to Sheol to my son, mourning.” Thus his father wept for him.
This verse is for me today. These past weeks have been hard for some reason it's been harder. As a year comes closer and closer and the reality closes in I realize that my mom is with Jesus more and more. The times that I had with mom and took mom to the store, cooked for mom and even joked around just to make mom laugh is no longer here.
Sometimes I just refuse to be comforted by well meaning friends and even family and truly that's OK. In life as a Christian we learn that our hope lies in Christ and nothing more.
Mom you are my best friend and I love you and miss. The great part is this isn't the end and Christ is the reason that I live and the reason that I can say with full assurance mom that I will be home soon.

Week 29 July 23, 2014
John 10:28 English Standard Version (ESV)
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
My sister Amy sent this to the group text today. It is such a great reminder. As I study apologetics I find myself listening to debates between non-Christians and Christians. It is a dangerous road sometimes as the non-Christians paint pictures that Jesus is not real. Studying and understanding it's easy to allow doubt penetrate your minds. That's why it's so important to be in the Word of God not in the World.
This verse reminds me that today my mom is experiencing Eternal life and that my Mom trusted in Jesus Christ my mom will and is living forever.
I love you mom I miss you so much as the days keep going on and on and as 10 months come closer this Friday. I know you are with Christ and happy as you see the Eternal light that will never go out our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I'll be home soon.

Isaiah 66:13 English Standard Version (ESV)
As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
This verse comes from my brother Leo. It captures for me that although my mom is not physically here the joy that I felt in the past that I was always able to see my mom, talk to mom, joke with my mom basically spend time. There was always something about hearing my mom as a kid cut meat, preparing dinner, the sound that the plates made as my mom pulled them down from the China Cabinet, I knew I was about to eat. These were just a few comforting things.
Now however my mom isn't here physically so just How am I able to go on. The truth is I am being comforted by the Lord, Jesus Christ, but the truth is He was always the one to comfort me, comfort us. As my mom was and is comforted by Jesus as well.
Daily I miss my mom. I so bad wish another hug, another smile. another laugh. Mom you did your job here well, always making me feel safe, but it was because Jesus made you feel safe. Thank you mom, I am comforted by Jesus as Isaiah states.
Soon mom very soon I'll be able to be in Christ presence, and the benefit of that is that I get to see you again. Praise Jesus!

Week 31 August 6, 2014
Romans 5:8 (NIV)
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Weekly I just look for a verse and song and add it here in a short memory for my mom and reflect on the thoughts of Christ. This verse jumps out at me as the Apostle Paul wrote that while we were still sinners Christ came down and died for us. By this Jesus removed the sting of death that will for ever keep us captive. As I ponder this week I feel upset and angry at various times knowing my mom "was just here" and now my mom is physically not. The truth is a lot people go around and tell us that when someone passes on they are in a better place. I think this week and as I received this verse I realize that though this IS true, let us and me never forget why today my mom is even more happier than we can ever be here on Earth and that reason is because of Jesus Christ, who died for us removing the sting of death bringing us to a "better" place with Him forever.
Mom you are so blessed by your kids, family and friends here. Mom how much more are you now blessed to be in the Savior's arms.
Jesus you said and I believe as you told the repented thief on the cross "today you will be with me in paradise".
I love you mom and I will see you soon.

Week 32 August 14, 2014
Proverbs 23:18
“There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off” .
Just today I slowly reflected on my mom seeing my mom was here just a year ago. My mom to be really honest is so precious to me, I could never let a day go by without hearing my mom's voice. I needed to know that my mom was ok. I always said "mom are you ok" when first speaking to my mom over the phone and it was one of the last things I said before I got of the phone.
Hearing the words below of Amazing Grace it reminds me my precious mom is now in the literal presence of Christ. It makes me feel so lonely because I am not with my mom because I can't hear my mom's voice. It was Grace that lead my mom home to Christ, it will lead me home too.
Jesus I love my mom, my mom is so precious to me. The truth is Lord you are more precious than even my own mom it's because of your grace, that I will be lead home to you and will all me see my mom again and will be in your presence. You are my hope Lord!
I love you mom and I will see you soon. Praise Jesus!
